Three Palestinians were killed and a fourth was seriously injured on Wednesday evening after Israeli tanks opened fire at a resistance post east of Gaza city.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health said that the three martyrs are Ahmad al-Basous 28 Obada Farwana 29 and Mohammed al-Areer 27 and all of them are residents of Shuja’iya neighborhood east of Gaza city.
Israeli tanks stationed at the border fence bombed other sites in Beit Lahia town al-Bureij refugee camp and al-Zaitoun neighborhood east of the Gaza Strip.
A spokesman for the Israeli army claimed that the army attacked 7 Hamas sites along the border in response to a shooting attack from Gaza at an Israeli force.
Israeli media sources earlier reported that an Israeli soldier was injured after being shot by a sniper east of al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.
According to Walla website Chief of General Staff at the Israeli army Gadi Eizenkot and Israel’s Minister of War Avigdor Lieberman are holding security discussions on the border escalation.
