30 Palestinian prisoners entered on Saturday day 14 of the hunger strike they staged in protest at the Israeli administrative detention policy.
In a statement on Saturday the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the prisoners are determined to continue their hunger strike adding that other prisoners would join the hunger strike if the Israeli prison service did not respond positively to their demands following the current Jewish holiday.
In a previous statement PPS said other groups of prisoners would join the hunger strike if the Israeli occupation authority issued more administrative detention orders.
PPS added that 28 of the hunger-striking prisoners are isolated in four cells in Ofer jail while two others are locked up in solitary confinement in the jails of Hadarim and Negev.
In early January hundreds of administrative detainees announced a complete boycott of all judicial procedures related to their administrative detention.
The administrative detainees are being held in different Israeli prisons mostly in Negev and Ofer jails.
