Ten Palestinian civilians were wounded on Saturday evening by live and rubber-coated metal bullets while others suffered breathing problems during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Beita town south of Nablus.
Ahmed Jibril the director of ambulance and emergency at the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus said that the ambulance teams took a citizen wounded by live bullets in his hand to Rafidia Government Hospital while nine others were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets 27 suffered breathing difficulties and three fell during the confrontations.
Beita’s people organize day and night protest activities at the town’s junction near the main street to demand the release of the body of the martyr Shadi al-Sharfa.
Local sources reported that clashes erupted between the youths and IOF soldiers who were deployed at the entrance to the town and chased the citizens.
Six young men were martyred in Beita the last of whom was Imad Dwaikat who was killed on Friday after being shot in his chest by IOF soldiers.
