Abu Hamid’s critical condition reflects gravity of Israeli crimes

Saturday 20-August-2022

Spokesman of the Hamas Movement Hazem Qassem on Saturday said that the serious health complications of prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid after his body didn’t respond to chemotherapy sessions expose the gravity of the Israeli crimes committed against prisoner Abu Hamid and all Palestinian prisoners.

Spokesman Qassem called on human rights groups and international organizations to take serious action against the measures practiced by Israeli prison service against Abu Hamid urging the groups to immediately work towards saving him from the imminent death that he is facing due to the deliberate Israeli policy of medical negligence.

“Palestinian detainees will remain the backbone of the Palestinian national liberation movement and their issue will remain at the top of the Palestinian resistance’s agenda” Qassem concluded.

Earlier on Thursday Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported that cancer has spread to new parts of prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid’s body including the brain.

Around 5000 Palestinian prisoners including 30 women 180 minors and 650 administrative detainees are held in Israeli jails with an estimated 700 patients suffering from various illnesses and diseases such as cancer paralysis and disability.
