Member of Hamas’s political bureau Moussa Abu Marzouk said on Wednesday that the Palestinian refugee camps will contribute in ensuring security and stability in Lebanon.
Abu Marzouk’s statements came during a meeting of a Hamas delegation with Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri.
The delegation included Hamas’s foreign relations official Osama Hamdan the Movement’s representative in Lebanon Ali Baraka Hamas’s political official in Lebanon Ahmed Abdel Hadi and the group’s media official in Lebanon Raafat Morra in addition to Abu Marzouk.
During the meeting Abu Marzouk stressed the Palestinian keenness to preserve security and stability in Lebanon.
The two parties also discussed the Lebanese and Palestinian relations.
Abu Marzouk renewed his satisfaction with Berri’s initiative during the meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) which called for ending the Palestinian internal division and electing a new Palestinian National Council.
