Member of the Hamas political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk said on Wednesday that the Palestinian reconciliation does not need more dialogues with Fatah Movement.
Abu Marzouk said in press statements that the Fatah Central Committee uses media for incitement and wrong mobilization adding that the Fatah delegation does not need a permission to visit Gaza. “They can move inside their homeland as they please” he affirmed.
Abu Marzouk opined that the reconciliation will succeed when Fatah abides by the agreements signed and when the Palestinian Authority (PA) government fulfills its obligations to the Gaza employees and ends all forms of discrimination against them the latest of which was a PA decision to deduct 30% of the salaries of Gaza’s employees.
On the demand of the PA president Mahmoud Abbas to cancel the Administrative Committee in Gaza Abu Marzouk stressed the importance of the committee which was formed to serve the Gazan people in the absence of the PA government led by Rami Hamdallah. He noted that the committee will be automatically dissolved once the PA government starts to assume its duties toward the people of the Gaza Strip.
Abu Marzouk refused holding the Palestinian National Council session in Ramallah under the Israeli occupation’s authority and in the absence of many Palestinian factions pointing out that it was agreed in the Beirut meetings to hold a unified meeting with the participation of all Palestinian factions outside the Palestinian territories.
He emphasized that many countries offered to host the PNC meeting calling on Abbas to take the necessary steps to hold a new national conference abroad.
On the Ain al-Hilweh clashes the Hamas official expressed his sorrow for the latest incidents and announced his Movement’s rejection of any kind of armed confrontation between one Palestinian party and another in the camp calling for dialogue and avoiding bloodshed and infighting.
