The Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri on Wednesday said that Palestinians should no longer bet on the US mediation in the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
Abu Zuhri stressed on Twitter that any deals done at the expense of the Palestinian cause will surely fail.
Voices have been raised recently against the US role in the peace process following the US president Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Palestinians fear that the Palestinian Authority may not stick to its decision to reject Washington’s sponsorship of the peace process because it is not “honest” enough.
