Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya on Friday said that his movement is doing its best to ensure the success of the efforts made by Egypt and the UN to end the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
In a speech he delivered while taking part in the Great March of Return on Friday al-Hayya affirmed that the protests will continue until they achieve their goals and break the siege forever.
Al-Hayya pointed out that the Palestinian factions have agreed on one vision regarding the reconciliation and the siege. He added that all factions believe that the Gaza Strip is in need for new humanitarian projects.
The Hamas leader stressed that the Great March of Return has shown the world that Gaza “deserves to live”.
Talks are in full swing in Cairo between Egypt’s General Intelligence Service and Palestinian factions except Fatah to discuss the reconciliation and the current situation in Gaza.
