Al-Quds Research Center has warned of serious Israeli attempts to impose new faits accomplis at the Aqsa Mosque.
According to Hurrya News on Sunday head of the center Ziyad al-Hammouri affirmed that there are Israeli attempts to build the alleged Jewish temple on the ruins of the Aqsa Mosque pointing out that the Israeli government and extremist settler groups had built an entire city under the Old City of Jerusalem.
Hammouri also accused the US of encouraging the Israeli occupation state to practice more violations against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.
In a related context Mohamed Diyab member of the Islamic Commission in Jerusalem said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) works on establishing settler outposts around the Aqsa Mosque to tighten its grip on the Aqsa Mosque as a prelude to changing its status quo.
Diyab also said that the IOA seeks to appropriate more real estate and lands belonging to Jerusalemite citizens so it works on tightening the noose around them through its settlement and Judaization projects to drive them out of the holy city.
