Al-Quds International Institution has accused Israeli courts of colluding with Jewish settler groups to take over Palestinian property belonging to the Orthodox Church in Bab al-Khalil area in the Old City of Jerusalem.
This came in a statement issued by director of al-Quds International Yassin Hamoud after the Israeli district court in Occupied Jerusalem backtracked on accepting documents and evidence submitted by the Orthodox Patriarchate that prove the corruption of the real estate deal that enabled settler societies a few years ago to take over Palestinian Church property in Omar Bin al-Khattab Square which is located in the east Jerusalem area of Bab al-Khalil.
“The verdict [by the court] has shown the size of manipulation that is practiced by Israeli courts and their bias in favor of settler societies at the expense of the Palestinian rights” Hamoud stated.
“Such invalid decisions will never change the reality on the ground and all the occupation’s projects and racist policies will never succeed in stealing the city’s identity” he said.
