Although the Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership already affirmed its decision to boycott the US administration after its declared Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last December senior Fatah official Nabil Amr has revealed the presence of effective channels of communication with Washington.
According to the website of al-Quds newspaper Amr described this PA’s attitude as important political openness to other parties to discuss initiatives and stances without having to give up the fundamental positions.
“The Palestinian tactic should change after president Mahmoud Abbas presented an integrated political initiative based on the international legitimacy and the Arab peace plan in which he emphasized the continued adoption of negotiation as a means to advance towards national goals” he said.
