The Jerusalem Committee Against Judaization has warned that the Palestinian towns and neighborhoods of the holy city especially Silwan are exposed to Jewish settler encroachment.
In a statement on Saturday head of the committee Nasser al-Hadmi said that settlers try to encroach upon Palestinian areas in Jerusalem through repeated break-ins of neighborhoods property takeovers and different Judaization activities.
Hadmi pointed out that such violations are aimed to normalize the presence of settlers in the Palestinian neighborhoods of Jerusalem as part of Israeli efforts to increase their number in the holy city.
He also warned of serious Judaization activities being carried out by Elad settler group in Jerusalem neighborhoods.
He expressed his regret and dismay over the indifference of the Palestinian Authority and Arab countries towards the question of Jerusalem.
Recently Elad settler group opened a Jewish activity center called “Farm in the Valley” on annexed land in Silwan as part of the national park project that aims to attract thousands of Jews from around the world to the holy city.
