Deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau Saleh al-Aruri has expressed his confidence that the “day of freedom for the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails is approaching.”
In remarks on the occasion of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day Aruri said he hopes to see Palestinian prisoners return to their families and homes by the end of the current year describing the prisoners as “the source of honor dignity and pride.”
He affirmed that “the liberation of prisoners from Israeli jails has always been high on Hamas’s agenda since its inception” adding that the Movement would do everything necessary to achieve that.
