Palestinian Prisoner Society said that Israeli special forces on Wednesday violently broke into rooms of Palestinian prisoners in Ashkelon jail wreaked havoc on them and confiscated some of the prisoners’ belongings.
Palestinian Prisoner Society said that Israeli prison forces have recently stepped up their raids and search campaigns in Palestinian prisoners’ rooms.
This escalation it added comes within the framework of recent recommendations by the Israeli government to crack down on Palestinian prisoners in Israeli lock-ups.
There are about 50 Palestinian detainees languishing in Ashkelon jail.
