The Attorney General in Gaza Ismail Jabr issued a decision on Monday banning the publication of news regarding the investigations related to the assassination of Mazen Fuqaha.
According to the decision the publication of any details related to the investigations is banned in order to maintain the investigation’s confidentiality.
The decision stressed that the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Interior are the only authorities entitled to reveal any details about the case warning of quoting unknown sources or Hebrew media in this matter. The decision includes all media outlets as well as social media activists.
The Attorney General assigned the government’s media office to follow up on everyone’s compliance with the decision and monitor any irregularities and refer them to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary legal action.
The decision underlined that those who violate the decision will expose themselves to legal responsibility.
