Senior Hamas official Husam Badran has said that the US administration’s labeling of Saleh al-Aruri deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau as a terrorist and its decision to put a price for information about him is aimed at the Palestinian leadership in general.
In press remarks on Thursday Badran stressed that the US administration vindicated further its gross bias in favor of the Israeli occupation state.
The Hamas official affirmed that Aruri is “a Palestinian national leader whose stature exceeds his position in the leadership of the Hamas Movement.”
“Putting Aruri on US terror lists will never change the fact that we are the rightful owner of the land and will not affect our positions or prevent us from our right to resist the occupation” Badran underlined.
The US state department recently announced financial rewards for any information leading to Aruri and two senior Hezbollah officials.
Aruri had already been labeled as a terrorist in September 2015 by the department of the treasury at the behest of the “Zionist lobby” in the US which influences the policies in the country.
