Member of Hamas’s political bureau Husam Badran has called on the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah to release Waddah Zaqzouq a senior official of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP).
In Facebook remarks Badran slammed the PA for persisting in carrying out political arrests describing such practice as “an antinational behavior.”
“It is regrettable that such arrests take place on allegations of preventing sectarian strife in order to provide a legal cover to persecute anyone who expresses his political and intellectual opinion” the Hamas official said
“The political arrest policy in the West Bank does not only target Hamas but also all those who believe in the project of resisting the occupation and opposes the PA’s performance at all levels politically economically and socially” he added.
