Senior Hamas official Salah al-Bardawil has affirmed that the national unity is a sacred goal for his Movement and that the efforts to heal the rift will continue to achieve this end.
In a speech during a festival held on Saturday by the Islamic Jihad Movement to mark its founding anniversary Bardawil said that the path to unity must lead to full partnership in institutions decision-making and the resistance option.
The Hamas official reiterated his Movement’s adherence to the national vision that had been formulated and announced recently by eight Palestinian factions to achieve the inter-Palestinian reconciliation describing the vision as “unbiased and balanced.”
“We deeply and strongly believe that Palestine in its entirety is our sacred right and we will not accept in any way no matter how long it takes and how heavy the price is to cede an iota of the Palestinian soil or one of our rights” he said.
