The Palestinian detained journalist Mohammad al-Qiq announced before the judge of the Israeli Military Court of Ofer on Monday starting hunger strike in protest at issuing an administrative detention order against him for a period of six months that ends on July 14.
Al-Qiq’s wife Fayha Shalash told the PIC reporter that her husband was under investigation from last Wednesday until Monday morning.
Israeli occupation forces arrested al-Qiq at Beit El barrier north of Ramallah on January 01. This was eight months later of his release from a previous detention where he struggled with an open hunger strike for 94 consecutive days in protest at the illegal administrative detention order brought against him at the time.
