The National Captive Movement has said it is preparing for a mass hunger strike in all Israeli jails stressing that the Palestinian prisoners’ struggle will continue until they restore their rights fully.
In a statement on Friday the Captive Movement pointed out that the Palestinian factions would agree on a date for the start of the hunger strike soon.
“The [Israeli] prison service’s reversal of its decision to reduce the prisoners’ leisure time in the prison yards is considered a step towards restoring our rights fully but this does not mean in any way that our struggle to extract our basic rights has stopped” the Captive Movement said.
“The uprising of prisons has started to confront the repressive measures that the prison service has pursued against our prisoners” the Captive Movement added.
It expressed its thanks for the popular support for their current battle in Israeli jails calling for more solidarity with their struggle for their rights.
