Clashes arrests in West Bank and 1948 occupied lands

Violent clashes erupted on Sunday night and Monday morning between Palestinians on the one hand and Jewish settlers and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on the other hand in the West Bank and the 1948 occupied lands.

In Occupied Jerusalem the inhabitants in Beit Hanina and Shuafat north of occupied Jerusalem confronted the attacks of settlers and the Israeli police.

Local sources said that the occupation police participated with settlers in attacking the towns of Beit Hanina and Shuafat and fired rubber-coated metal bullets tear gas and sound bombs. A citizen was injured with bullets in his stomach while another was wounded with a stun grenade that hit his head.

In al-Khalil large numbers of armed settlers under the protection of the IOF opened fire at Palestinian homes on Al-Shallala Street in the center of the city and raided several of them without any injuries reported.

Meanwhile a citizen was seriously injured in his hand as the IOF threw a sound bomb directly at him while he was inside his shop in the Zahid area of the Old City of al-Khalil.

IOF stormed Bani Na`im town east of al-Khalil and fired bullets and tear gas canisters at the residents. A young man was hit with a metal bullet in his head and was taken to the hospital and his health condition was described as stable.

In Idhna town west of al-Khalil a citizen was wounded with metal bullets in his foot during confrontations with IOF at the entrance to the town and he was taken to a medical center for treatment.

Dozens of civilians suffered breathing problems at the entrance to Al-Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil during clashes with the IOF soldiers.

Hundreds of Palestinians participated in a mass rally and roamed the streets of Dhahiriya town south of al-Khalil. Violent clashes broke out with IOF especially in the Bab Al-Zawiya area and in Wadi Al-Hariya.

In the Al-Dhahr area in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil confrontations erupted with IOF who fired bullets sound and tear gas bombs at the citizens. Dozens of residents suffered breathing problems.

The IOF soldiers arrested the two brothers Alaa and Ali al-Rajabi from al-Khalil and Murad Al-Farroukh 22 from Sa’ir town.

In Husan village in Bethlehem eyewitness said that Palestinians clashed with IOF in the Al-Muteena area and the vicinity of the mosque at the eastern entrance to the village.

IOF soldiers fired live bullets and rubber-coated metal bullets and sound and gas bombs and a number of civilians suffered breathing difficulties.

In Ramallah a young man was wounded by live ammunition in the Al-Batin area during confrontations that broke out between several youths and IOF in Nabi Saleh village northwest of the city.

In Tulkarem IOF raided Ramin village amid heavy firing of live bullets sound and gas bombs at Palestinian homes.

In Jenin several marches were launched in many areas of the province to condemn the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and to support Jerusalem.

The IOF broke into Zabuba village while firing tear gas and sound bombs towards homes and civilians. Dozens of citizens suffered breathing problems.

In the towns of Qabatiya and Rummana and the Jenin refugee camp a march was launched during which the participants raised Palestinian flags and black banners on their vehicles.

The march roamed the streets of the towns the camp and Jenin towards Nazareth Street near the Jalameh checkpoint.

Confrontations broke out at the Jalameh checkpoint with IOF and a young man was injured while others suffered breathing problems. Hamzah Abu al-Hassan 20 from Jenin city and Muhammad Houshiyeh from Al-Yamoun and Abd al-Latif al-Saadi were arrested.

Special units of the IOF kidnapped the boy Mahmoud Ajawi from Jenin while he was near Al-Bustan Park at the northeastern entrance of Jenin.

In Al-Arqa village confrontations erupted between the youths and IOF who fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters.

In the 1948 occupied territories citizens participated in a protest demonstration at the northern junction of Al-Taiba in protest against the aggression on Gaza and the attacks on them by Israeli policemen during the last few days.

The Israeli police forces quelled the march fired metal bullets and sound bombs and sprayed protesters with wastewater. Two young men were wounded with rubber-coated metal bullets in the hand and foot.

The demonstrators had closed the main street of the city after setting fire to tires in the middle of the street.
