Armed clashes broke out in Balata refugee camp east of Nablus as PA security forces violently stormed the camp on Friday morning.
According to the PIC reporter a number of locals and security forces were injured during the clashes.
A local resident suffered a gunshot injury while a child choked on teargas during the events.
The clashes caused power outage as well the sources added.
Meanwhile local women took to the streets in protest against the PA forces’ violent break-in into the refugee camp. However they were faced by heavy firing of teargas bombs.
Tension heightened in the refugee camp as calls for stopping the clashes were voiced via the mosques’ loudspeakers.
