The Commission of Scholars and Preachers in Occupied Jerusalem has warned of the repercussions of Israel’s violations and Judaization schemes beneath and around holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
The commission said in a statement that Israel’s so-called “biblical gardens” “Holy Basin” and “Biblical Paths” have dangerous upshots on Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement warned of an Israeli scheme of ethnic cleansing against Palestinians living in Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan south of al-Aqsa Mosque as part of the so-called “Biblical gardens” project.
The commission referred to such schemes of ethnic cleaning and mass deportation recently carried out by the Israeli occupation under a legal cover to evacuate al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and demolish Palestinian homes in Shu’fat refugee camp and Beit Hanina.
The commission slammed the silence maintained by the international community over such unabated Israeli crimes against the Palestinian land and people saying silence is no less atrocious than the horrific crimes increasingly committed by Israel.
It called on the international community to take a serious and urgent response over Israel’s ceaseless crimes against the Palestinian people and holy sites.
The statement stressed Palestinians’ commitment to their land holy sites and occupied Jerusalem saying Israel’s falsification of history will never succeed to change facts on the ground.
