Dozens of Palestinian youths were injured on Tuesday evening during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Salem village east of Nablus.
Medical sources said that seven Palestinian youths were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets while nearly 20 others chocked on tear gas in the clashes that broke out following angry protests over the assassination of Ahmad Jarrar in Jenin.
According to eyewitnesses the IOF heavily fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets to disperse the protesters who responded by throwing stones and empty bottles.
They added that ambulances rushed to the village to provide first aid to the injured and transfer them to local hospitals.
