Dozens of Jewish settlers broke into the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning amid increasing Palestinian calls for intensifying presence at the holy Islamic site at the dawn and Friday prayers.

The Islamic Awkaf Department in Occupied Jerusalem said that 180 Jewish settlers went on provocative tours of the Aqsa Mosque compound and performed Talmudic rituals under tight Israeli security protection.

Meanwhile Palestinian activists called for massive participation in the dawn prayer on Friday and the noon congregation that would be named “Jerusalem is Arab Islamic”.

They called on whoever can reach the Aqsa Mosque to do so to confront the Jewish settlers’ schemes and attempts to Judaize the holy Islamic site.

Dozens of Jewish settlers entered the holy Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday and toured its courtyards under tight police protection.

Eyewitnesses reported that the settlers entered from the Maghareba Gate and performed Talmudic rituals during their provocative tour.

The settlers listened to lectures by rabbis on the so-called temple mount during their tour they added.

The tours come one day after an extremist Jewish group called for dismantling the Dome of the Rock in the Aqsa Mosque compound in a bid to make way for building the alleged temple.

Dozens of Jewish settlers defiled the holy Aqsa Mosque Compound on Sunday morning under tight Israeli police protection.

Jerusalemite sources said that the settlers broke into the holy Islamic site from the Maghareba Gate and toured its courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.

Israeli occupation police imposed movement restrictions on Palestinian citizens in the vicinity of the holy site especially at Bab el-Amud and scrutinized their IDs.

Other groups of settlers break into the Aqsa Compound in the afternoon. During both the morning and afternoon tours the Palestinian citizens are chased away from the Aqsa yards and forced to keep distance from the settlers.

Dozens of Jewish settlers entered the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday morning escorted by Israeli policemen.

Awkaf department officials told Quds Press that 43 Jewish settlers roamed the plazas of the holy Islamic site via the Maghareba Gate under heavy police escort.

They added that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals at the eastern areas of the Mosque.

Other groups of settlers broke into the holy site in the afternoon under protection of the Israeli police and special forces the Awkaf officials underlined.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police blocked the entry of a Palestinian child into the holy site via Ghawanme Gate at the pretext she was carrying a bag with the word “Palestinian” written on it.
