Dozens of Spanish citizens on Tuesday rallied outside the US embassy in Madrid in protest at the US recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Protesters carried Palestinian flags and placards and chanted slogans condemning the US and its president Donald Trump.
The Spanish trade unions which called for the protest affirmed in a statement read before the crowd that Trump’s declaration about Jerusalem “poses a clear threat to regional peace and stability and is considered part of a systematic plan aimed at removing the Palestinian people from their land.
