Dozens of Palestinian prisoners have tested positive for Corona in the Israeli Nafha prison amid total disregard on the part of the prison administration a rights group revealed on Tuesday.
Wa’ed Association for Prisoners affirmed that nearly 60 prisoners held in section 12 were infected with the coronavirus.
Sick prisoners and elderly were among the infected prisoners the group added.
It said that the infected prisoners’ number is expected to rise in light of the prison administration’s deliberate negligence and manipulation.
Wa’ed urged the World Health Organization to intervene urgently to save the Palestinian prisoners’ lives especially the sick prisoners who are subjected to a deliberate medical negligence policy.
