An Egyptian security delegation on Monday arrived in Gaza to follow up the reconciliation agreement signed between Hamas and Fatah Movements in Cairo last October.

The PIC reporter said that Tawfiq Abu Naim Director General of the Internal Security Forces in Gaza received the delegation which was led by General Sameh Nabil the official of the Palestinian file in the Egyptian General Intelligence.

The Egyptian delegation met with Rawhi Mushtaha member of Hamas’s Political Bureau who said in an exclusive statement to the PIC that the first meeting addressed the importance to exert efforts for the accomplishment of the Palestinian national reconciliation.

A delegation from the Egyptian intelligence service arrived in the Gaza Strip on Monday afternoon to follow up what has been implemented with regard to the Palestinian reconciliation agreement signed recently between Hamas and Fatah on October 12.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the Egyptian delegation entered Gaza through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing on a few-hour visit to the Strip.

The sources elaborated that the Egyptian delegation included General Hammam Abu-Zeid and the Egyptian Consul Khaled Sami. They are also going to meet with Deputy Prime Minister of the Palestinian consensus government Ziyad Abu Amer in his office in order to get acquainted with the government’s work in Gaza.
