Several Palestinian ex-detainees have continued their hunger strike in Ramallah city for the second consecutive day in protest at the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) persistence in depriving them of their monthly allowances.
A spokesman for the ex-detainees said they would only take water and fluids at the first stage of their hunger strike and later would use only salt water.
The ex-detainees who have been holding a sit-in on a street in Ramallah for 43 days running held the PA fully responsible for the humanitarian suffering which its decision to cut off their monthly payments caused to them and their families.
