The Palestinian ex-prisoner Dina Jaradat has been transferred to the hospital for the second time since her release as her health condition deteriorated.
After being released on Friday ex-prisoner Jaradat was transferred to the hospital for the second time on Saturday as she suffered from health complications.
The health condition of ex-prisoner Jaradat who is suffering from a rare disease called hydrocephalus was further exacerbated by the Israeli policy of medical negligence.
“During my detention I was deprived of taking aspirin that makes blood less sticky and helps to prevent stroke although I demanded having it” Jaradat said adding that she was preliminarily diagnosed with stroke after her release.
Ex-prisoner Jaradat stressed that during her detention she needed to undergo medical surgery in order to drain the fluid accumulated in the brain yet the Israeli prison service procrastinated on transferring her to the hospital.
She affirmed that when she was finally allowed to undergo surgery she was transferred to Rambam hospital in horrific circumstances and she was handcuffed and her feet were tied during the operation.
Earlier on Friday 24-year-old Dina Jaradat was released after completing her four-month-and-a-half prisoner term in the Israeli jails.
Around 30 Palestinian women are currently incarcerated in the Israeli prison of Damon out of nearly 4500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
