Two Palestinians were killed and eight others were injured on Saturday when a mysterious explosion occurred in a house in al-Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City according to the Ministry of Health.
The ministry announced that three of the eight wounded were in critical conditions.
The spokesman of the ministry Ashraf al-Qudra said that the victims were identified as Muayad Hellis and Diya al-Arir who were both aged 17 years old.
Local sources said that the police rushed to the scene to investigate in the incident.
Later in the day the spokesman of the police said that the blast occurred in al-Arir family’s house resulting in casualties and injures due to the existence of large quantities of fireworks.
