Extremist Israelis defile Aqsa Mosque on Yom Kippur

Wednesday 19-September-2018

Israeli settlers on Wednesday morning stormed Jerusalem’s Aqsa Mosque to mark the Jewish Yom Kippur holiday triggering anger among the Muslim worshipers.

Dozens of Israeli settlers have showed up at the site escorted by an officer who was caught just a few days earlier carrying a bottle of wine at the Mosque. Dozens more are expected to show up at the site in the next few hours.

Israeli police also banned the chief of al-Aqsa’s female guards Zeinat Sabah from entering the site and ordered her to turn herself in for questioning at the Qishleh detention center on Thursday morning.

On Tuesday 326 extremist Israeli settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque. Seven Palestinians were banned by the Israeli police from Jerusalem’s Old City and al-Aqsa.
