Dozens of Jewish settlers led by the extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick on Tuesday morning broke into al-Aqsa Mosque amid heavy police presence.
Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf Council said that 90 Jewish settlers roamed al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.
Meanwhile the Israeli police tightened restrictions on the Palestinian worshipers entering the Mosque and ordered many of them to stay outside.
Israeli settlers carry out break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis except on Fridays and Saturdays in two rounds: in the morning and afternoon.
