The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rounded up nearly 2000 Palestinians over the past five weeks in a fresh escalation of the campaigns of arrests in lines of the Palestinian people Abdul Nasser Farwana the head of the studies and documentation unit at the Palestinian prisoners authority said.
He added in a press release on Sunday that the arrests were made in the West Bank Jerusalem and 1948 Occupied Palestine and included children women and elderly persons.
Farwana opined that the Israeli occupation authorities target weakening the Palestinian determination and terminating the Palestinians’ will to resist occupation.
He said that around one million Palestinians were arrested by the IOF since 1967 but that did not succeed in subduing the Palestinian people.
Those arrests will not succeed in dissuading the Palestinian people from their struggle to regain their legitimate rights to end occupation and to live in dignity in their freed homeland he concluded.
