Few Gazan families allowed to see relatives in Nafha jail

Tuesday 6-December-2016

Only 72 Palestinian citizens from Gaza were able to visit their relatives on Monday morning in an Israeli jail in the Negev.

The Red Cross which coordinates these visits told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that 13 children were among the Gazan families who were allowed to travel through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing to visit 43 prisoners of their relatives in Nafha jail.

The Israeli authorities allow a limited number of Palestinian families from Gaza to visit their imprisoned relatives every once in a while and deprives many others of such visits under flimsy security pretexts.
