Violent clashes flared up at daybreak Wednesday shortly after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rolled into Jenin’s southern town of Fahma and came down heavily on Palestinian protesters.
Reporting from the city a PIC news correspondent said Israeli army forces stormed Fahma at the crack of dawn in a flock of military jeeps and aggressively attacked Palestinian anti-occupation protesters.
The occupation soldiers targeted the Palestinians with randomly-unleashed live rounds teargas canisters and sound bombs leaving several protesters injured.
The Palestinian youths responded by hurling stones at the heavily-armed occupation soldiers.
At the same time the Israeli forces wreaked havoc on civilian homes and cracked down on the inhabitants triggering further tension in the area.
The locals said the Israeli assault on Fahma is the most brutal in recent years.
