The Palestinian health ministry on Saturday reported fiv new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus) 209 new positive tests and 126 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report one of the new victims who died of the virus is from the West Bank and the others from Gaza.
21 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and two of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 46 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
97.5 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 1.4 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
