The electricity distribution company in the Gaza Strip said on Thursday that three power lines feeding some areas in the besieged enclave broke down during Israel’s aerial attacks last night.
A senior official from the company said that two power lines feeding Gaza province in addition to another line coming from the power plant collapsed during the air raids that took place on Wednesday night.
As a result large areas in Gaza City and the north plunged into darkness yet the official did not say how long it would take to repair the damage.
Israeli warplanes on Wednesday night carried out strikes on a resistance post and a cultivated field in the eastern and central districts of Gaza Strip after a rocket allegedly fell in an empty field in Sdot Negev regional council earlier on the same day.
