The National Islamic Commission for Development and Social Solidarity (Takaful) has announced that it will launch a new humanitarian project next week intended for supporting patients and people with special needs.
Spokesman for the commission Sharif al-Nairab stated in press remarks that Takaful would start next Monday January 8 to provide medical support for 1800 beneficiaries who suffer from health problems or has special needs.
Nairab explained that the medical support would include hearing aids eyeglasses orthopedic shoes and other medical equipment and needs for children and elderly people.
Takaful has already carried out several relief projects in the besieged Gaza Strip as part of its efforts to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the impoverished families.
