The Union of Gaza Municipalities has strongly denounced Israel’s bombing of civilian and cultural facilities and vital infrastructure during the recent military escalation against the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Friday the union also condemned Israel for tightening its blockade on Gaza and described its recent measures as “part of the mass punishment policy pursued against the Palestinian people.”
“The atrocious Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip who is under blockade for the second consecutive year is ongoing while the entire world is standing idly by watching crimes being committed against innocent civilians in their homes” the union stated.
