A general strike prevailed on Monday morning in the Gaza Strip provinces ahead of the launch of massive demonstrations along Gaza’s border with the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories to mark the Nakba anniversary.
The PIC reporters said that the strike disrupted traffic and services after businesses and educational institutions closed their doors. Drivers of public vehicles also joined the strike except those transferring protesters to the border areas.
Palestinian factions had called on all Palestinian citizens in Gaza to take part in the massive protests scheduled for Monday.
