The government information office in Gaza has warned media outlets and journalists of dealing with some suspicious unlicensed news websites saying they propagate agendas aimed at driving a wedge in the society and undermining its stability.
Head of the information office Salama Marouf stated in a press release on Saturday that the news websites Wattan 24 Kafa 24 and Sahem Press Network are not licensed by the Palestinian ministry of information and are involved in fabricating news and making lies to destabilize the situation in Gaza.
Marouf called on all media outlets and journalists not to rely on these websites as news sources to avoid being held legally accountable by the authorities in Gaza.
The aforementioned websites have embarked recently on attributing fabricated remarks to officials from different factions especially Hamas and spreading lies about Gaza with the intention of serving seditious agendas.
