The Israeli municipality in Occupied Jerusalem say they have been contacted by American officials to find a suitable location to build a US embassy in the holy city after president-elect Donald Trump vowed to move it from Tel Aviv.
According to Haaretz newspaper Israeli city planning officials suggested however that there would be no need to build anything new to house the embassy in Jerusalem because the Americans already had a building.
“The Americans built a big new consulate in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Arnona which had been planned in advance to be converted into the actual embassy one day. All the Americans need to do is to change the sign on the door” they said.
