Hamas Movement said on Saturday that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line and any attack on it will be met with resistance on the part of the Palestinian people.
The Movement confirmed in a statement on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque that the Palestinian resistance is ready to respond to the crimes of the occupation against the Mosque.
It said that the arson attack on the Mosque in 1969 was the beginning of an extended scheme of Judaization displacement and demolition practiced by the “Zionist” government aimed at establishing its alleged temple in place of the holy Mosque.
Hamas called on the Palestinian people to maintain constant presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to confront all the Israeli plans against it.
It also called on the Arab and Islamic nations and their peoples to move quickly to defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to demand the termination of all agreements with Israel.
Hamas praised the resistance in the Occupied West Bank especially Beita and Jenin and lauded the efforts of the Palestinians inside the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories in defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque and urged them to keep up resistance including armed resistance.
