On the anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj Hamas Movement said that Al-Aqsa Mosque is part of the Muslim faith and the core of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation which has no legitime claim to it.
In a statement issued on Sunday Hamas said that this year’s anniversary comes as the Israeli occupation intensifies its aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
This anniversary coincides with the continuous crimes being committed by the Israeli occupation army and Israeli settlers against Palestinian worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque the statement read.
The group said that these crimes should remind anew the Arab and Muslim leaders governments peoples and organizations of their duty of defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque and supporting Palestinian Jerusalemites until liberating it.
“The Palestinian people will remain committed to their legitimate rights and defend them through comprehensive resistance until achieving their aspirations for liberation and return.”
The Movement stressed the Arab and Muslim world’s connection to Palestine particularly Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas also warned the Israeli occupation against continuing its crimes and violations against the Al-Aqsa compound and Jerusalem and its Palestinian population.
“As we condemn the international inaction and silence over such aggression we reiterate that Israeli attempts to erase the landmarks and identity of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and change historical facts are bound to fail.”
Hamas further called on the Palestinian people to continue fighting off Israeli plots and defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa compound with all means possible urging the Arab and Muslim leaders peoples and organizations to take serious actions in support of Jerusalem and Palestinian Jerusalemites at all levels and in all political diplomatic media charity and humanitarian forums.
