Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said on Sunday that attacking Palestinian students in Tel Aviv University by Israeli police and right-wing extremists constitutes a “racist practice that violates the freedom of speech.”
“The continuous Israeli attacks which coincides with the 74th anniversary of the Nakba Day reflect the systematic Israeli acts of terrorism against the Palestinians” Qassem said in a press statement.
The spokesman confirmed that despite the displacement of Palestinians in 1948 and the repeated Israeli crimes the Palestinian people will confront Israeli attacks and preserve the identity of their lands until liberation and establishment of their independent state.
Earlier in the morning the Israeli police and right-wing extremists attacked Palestinian students who marched in commemoration of the 74th Nakba anniversary in Tel Aviv University.
Scores of Palestinian students participated in rallies to commemorate the 74th anniversary of Nakba Day chanting national slogans and raising Palestinian flags.
