The Hamas Movement said that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s proud talk about the participation of an Israeli delegation in the Bahrain economic workshop reflected clearly the service such event would provide for the occupation and its schemes.
In a press release Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said that the Bahrain conference would encourage the Israeli occupation to persist in its aggression against the Palestinian people.
Spokesman Qasem urged all parties especially the Arab countries to refrain from attending the Manama conference which he said is aimed at executing schemes targeting the Palestinian cause.
He called on the Arab League to ask all member states not to attend the conference.
Netanyahu affirmed last Tuesday that an Israeli delegation would participate in the Manama conference slated for next week applauding what he called the American efforts to create a better future for the region.
The economic provisions of the US peace plan (the deal of the century) will be announced at a workshop in Bahrain to be held on June 25-26.
Little is known about the political components of the peace plan but president Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner one of the authors of the plan affirmed in April that the plan would not focus on the two-state solution.
“If people focus on the old traditional talking points we will never make progress” Kushner said at the time adding “What we will put out is different.”
The PA already announced it would boycott the Bahrain economic conference warning it is part of the US deal of the century which aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
