Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said that the dual Cairo talks with Fatah Movement next Tuesday will pave the way for holding a national meeting to discuss the national issues.
In an interview with the PIC Hamas’s spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the upcoming Hamas-Fatah meeting under the supervision of Egypt aims at tabling the outstanding issues including holding a national meeting to discuss the formation of the unity government and running the elections in addition to other files of freedoms security and the PLO.
The convention of Palestinian factions and civil society institutions that was held on Wednesday afternoon discussed the crises in Gaza including issues of electricity health Rafah crossing civil workers’ salaries and other urgent humanitarian issues Barhoum pointed out.
The spokesman of Hamas asserted that the national consensus government which was formed based on the Shati refugee camp agreement in 2014 is responsible for managing the affairs of the Palestinian people and has to deal with the West Bank and Gaza Strip equally.
