Hamas Movement said the mass protests set to be staged on Friday make part of Palestinians’ ongoing efforts to speak up for their right of return and push for lifting the tough Israeli siege on Gaza.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Kasem said Friday’s protests dovetail Palestinians’ struggle to liberate their land and follow the footsteps of those who sacrificed their souls for the sake of Palestine referring to medics who tended to the wounded during the Great March of Return protests staged at the Gaza border.
Kasem added that Friday’s protests also come to pay tribute to journalists who have spoken up for Palestine and transferred to the world the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against peaceful demonstrators.
