Hamas strongly condemned Tuesday the “horrendous murder” of a Palestinian minor by the Israeli occupation army in Bethlehem’s southern town of Tekoua’.
Speaking on behalf of the group Hamas leader Abdul Rahman Shedid slammed the Israeli occupation army for cold-bloodedly executing 17-year-old Kusay al-Amour.
“Such a dreadful crime is a message for those hunting for futile peace talks as if they were dogs chasing their own tails” said Shedid.
Shedid leveled heavy criticism at the Palestinian Authority (PA) chaired by Mahmoud Abbas for its simmering crackdowns against the Palestinian anti-occupation activists at a time when “the occupation army has been shedding Palestinians’ blood coldheartedly.”
The Hamas leader added that such extra-judicial murders of Palestinian protesters confer further legitimacy upon the armed Palestinian resistance.
He vowed that Palestinians’ blood will not go in vain and that the armed resistance will oust the Israeli occupation so soon.
17-year-old Kusay al-Amour breathed his last shortly after he was fatally shot by the occupation army in Bethlehem’s southern town of Tekoua’ on Monday.
In a video leaked from the scene the occupation soldiers appear to be aggressively attacking al-Amour as he kept bleeding on the ground while preventing Palestinians from reaching the scene to rescue the minor.
The Palestinian Information Ministry called on the human rights bodies to hand over the video to the concerned authorities both nationally and internationally particularly the International Criminal Court (ICC) so as to impeach the Israeli criminals.
The ministry added that it kept tabs on the crime as it gradually enfolded in the footage where the occupation soldiers shot al-Amour with two bullets in his chest and thigh before they arrested him and left him bleeding to death.
The murder brings back to the world’s memory the cold blooded execution of youngster Abdul Fatah al-Sherif in al-Khalil among dozens of other Palestinian youths in scenes that reflect Israel’s unabated terrorism against the innocent Palestinians.
Al-Amour’s funeral procession is expected to be held at noontime Tuesday in Tekoua’ town where his parents relatives and friends will bid him last farewell.
